As we age, the body’s reserves of collagen deplete and the soft tissue that supports the face weakens, leading to a loss of volume and shape to the lips as well as the area surrounding them, leaving some men and women insecure with their smile.
Juvederm Volbella®, newly and proudly offered by Finesse Cosmetic Surgery, may be the solution to these aesthetically bothersome issues that can hopefully help to bring confidence back to your pouts and smirks.
If these are familiar problems to you, feel free to contact us at our office in Waltham to find out more about the plentiful benefits of Volbella®.
How Does the Volbella® Treatment Work?
Juvederm Volbella® is an injectable dermal filler made up of a solution of Hyaluronic Acid, a chemical already naturally found in the epidermis. A mild numbing agent or anesthetic may be used to numb the area of treatment prior to the injection. On average, the treatment takes roughly an hour to be completed and afterwards patients are free to go about their business of the day. It is typically advised that patients avoid the sun, strenuous movement, and applying make up for the day immediately following the treatment, but we will discuss all post-treatment instructions at our Waltham office.
What Can Volbella® Treat and What Makes it Unique?
- In addition to restoring volume and tautness to the mouth, the Volbella® treatment has also been clinically proven to be effective against various forms of rhytids that affect the perioral area, like smoker’s lines.
- Volbella® is a minimally invasive, nonsurgical treatment that doesn’t require any incision into the dermis, making it ideal for those squeamish at the idea of “going under the knife”.
- Even though the treatment works quickly and superficially, the results are anything but, and the added voluptuousness to the lips and mouth can be apparent for up to a year following the treatment.
- Volbella® doesn’t require any downtime, so patients don’t have to worry about the inconveniencing loss of time that more extensive procedures often require.
Is Volbella® Safe?
Volbella®’s safety as a product has been verified by the F.D.A but safety is something too important to be generalized, and must be evaluated on a basis of the specific individual. Due to this, a consultation with one of our professionals is required before the treatment is scheduled. This is done to figure out what your specific concerns are and to also discover anything from your existing medical history that can potentially complicate the process.
Am I a Candidate?
Qualification for the treatment can only be verified through consultation, but most adults aged 22 and over will be suitable candidates. If you have any further questions about how Volbella® can help you, please contact us. We look forward to your call!
