Doctor Arthur Shektman is a board-certified plastic surgeon and innovator with over 25 years experience, dedicated to offering patients the most advanced surgical and non-surgical aesthetic techniques available. With 20 years of extensive clinical experience in Boston and ranking among the nation’s leading physician in his specialty, Dr. Shektman brings decades of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery experience. He consistently achieves desired results through extensive skill, meticulous techniques, and innate eye for physical proportion.
Dr. Shektman received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Brandeis University and went on to graduate from Hahnemann University School of Medicine, now know as Drexel University School of Medicine. He stayed at Hahnemann Hospital to complete his general surgery residency. He then was accepted into the extremely competitive plastic surgery residency program at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery and after graduating, he moved back to Massachusetts to enter private practice.
Dr. Shektman has privileges at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He was included on a list of “Top Doctors” published by RealSelf.
