About Cellulaze
In most cases, cellulite does not respond to diet and exercise. Topical creams and external laser or radiofrequency devices provide inconsistent results that are only temporary. Cellulaze is the first treatment that specifically targets the underlying causes of cellulite at both the skin and fat level. The treatment, based on the Smartlipo Triplex™ system, uses the proprietary SideLight 3D side-firing laser to:
- Disrupt and melt herniated fat pockets
- Release the fibrous bands that create the dimpling effect by pulling down the skin
- Stimulate collagen production to increase the thickness and elasticity of the skin resulting in a smoother, more-even appearance

FAQ
What is Cellulaze?
Cellulaze is the only minimally invasive laser procedure designed to attack the structure of cellulite beneath your skin. It delivers longer lasting results after only one short treatment.
What is unique about the procedure?
There are countless treatments that claim to get rid of cellulite, but these other treatments – massage, external energy devices, creams and lotions – can only treat cellulite superficially by working at the skin’s surface. These treatments require either daily or weekly applications, and the results are often inconsistent. Cellulaze is the first and only cellulite laser treatment that treats the actual problems underneath the skin to deliver a proven longer-lasting result from just one simple treatment.
Generally, dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months and vary depending on the treatment area. The effects of dermal fillers may vary by the patient – some may require more frequent treatments while others may experience longer-term results.
How is the Cellulaze treatment done?
A very small cannula (or tube about the size of the tip of a pen) is inserted under the skin. The unique SideLight laser fiber inside the tube delivers energy directly under the skin. This increases the thickness and quality of your skin, while simultaneously releasing the fibrous bands that pull it down, minimizing the orange peel look associated with cellulite. Finally, the cellulite laser is used to diminish the lumpy pockets of fat that produce visible bulges on your skin.
Who is a good candidate for Cellulaze?
Cellulaze delivers the best results for women who are not significantly overweight but have mild to moderate cellulite on their thighs.
How quickly will I see results with Cellulaze?
You should see some initial benefits after a few weeks, but final results usually take three to twelve months to develop as the skin’s elasticity and thickness increase.
How long does the Cellulaze treatment take?
On average, this cellulite laser procedure will take one to three hours. This is dependent on the size of the areas to be treated.
What is the recovery time with Cellulaze?
The cellulite laser treatment is a minimally invasive procedure which requires only local anesthesia with light oral sedation. Some bruising can occur, but you’ll be able to return to normal activities within a few days. You will wear a compression garment for two weeks after the procedure.
Will I need more than one treatment?
Results are achieved with just one cellulite laser treatment. Your results will continue to improve over the next 3 – 12 months.
