Comfort thresholds vary from patient to patient, but there can be some discomfort while the treatment is being performed. We have you arrive 45 minutes prior to the procedure so we can apply topical numbing to the area to be treated. Most people return to work the day after their treatment. Post-treatment, you may see a bit of pinpoint bleeding from the needles. This should only last for a few minutes. There may be slight redness for a few hours or so following the treatment, and a small percentage of patients may have slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to touch, but these are mild and temporary in nature. A good moisturizer and a broad-spectrum sunscreen are recommended. Makeup can be applied two days after the procedure. There is always the possibility for other less common post-procedural effects, which your practitioner will review with you.
