Significantly
improve your skin texture and appearance by reducing age spots, sun damage, spider veins, fine lines, uneven
pigmentation, diffuse redness, rosacea and large pores.
FotoFacial RF™ treatments are full face, neck, hands or body
treatments using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and radio-frequency energy
combined in the same pulse. These gentle, no-downtime treatments
improve the cosmetic appearance of the face, neck or body.
Energy is given up to brown
spots, blood vessels, and redness to gradually and gently lessen or
eliminate these blemishes. The radio-frequency also produces
significant amounts of collagen and elastin resulting in a
noticeable and significant smoothening of fine to moderate wrinkles
and textural irregularities of the skin.

What should I expect from a FotoFacial treatment?
The area to be
treated is first covered with a very thin layer of ultrasound gel.
This thin layer of gel is very important to conduct the RF current
into the skin efficiently. The hand piece of the FotoFacial RF
device is dynamically cooled to help protect the skin. Once the RF
conductive medium has been applied, then the entire face, chest,
hands, arms or affected body part is treated with a gentle pulse of
light and Radiofrequency energy.
How many FotoFacial treatments will I need?
Optimal results
are obtained with 3 - 5 treatments depending on the condition being
treated and the extent of damage. Treatments are spaced 3 - 4
weeks apart. After the treatment series is completed, we
recommend a maintenance treatment every 3 months.
How quickly will I see results?
Most patients
will begin to see results after 3 treatments. Brown
pigmentation (age spots, sun damage) will disappear more quickly
then discoloration caused by vascular irregularities. The effect on
diminishing wrinkles will continue to be evident for 6 months after
the last treatment.
Does the FotoFacial treatment hurt?
We will numb the
treatment area with topical anesthetic for 15 - 20 minutes prior to
the treatment. With numbing the treatment is highly tolerable.
You may feel some light snapping on the skin as the system fires.
